To add your company number and Tax/VAT numbers, go to Settings > Main Settings. They're in the Kennel Details section, which you can jump to with Quick Link: Business Details at the top of the page.
How to add your company number and tax number
Go to Settings > Main Settings and find the Kennel Details section.
Enter your tax number in Tax Number. This field takes the name of your tax, so it may say VAT Number or GST Number.
Enter your company number in Company Number.
Click Save at the bottom of the section.
Where your company number and tax number appear
Your tax number and company number print on your PDF invoices.
Your tax number also shows on the receipt screen.
The extra VAT number field for UK and EU accounts
Accounts in the UK and EU countries see one more number field, with your country code beside it. That field is used for billing your KennelBooker subscription. It doesn't print on the invoices you send to your customers, so put the number you want customers to see in the first Tax Number field.
Changing the name of the tax or company number
You can change the name of the tax field in case you call it something different, like VAT. Go to Settings > Customize Text and change What your tax is called (for example VAT, GST or sales tax). To rename the company number, change What your company number is called on the same page.

Does adding a tax number add tax to my prices?
No. A tax or VAT number in Kennel Details only prints on your invoices. To charge tax on bookings and products, set your rates in Settings > Main Settings, Tax Settings section. See "Setting up Tax/VAT/GST/HST settings" in Related articles.
Will the numbers show on invoices I've already sent?
No. An invoice that's already been sent doesn't change. Your company number and tax number print on PDF invoices you create or send after you've saved them.
Do I have to enter a company number or tax number?
No, both are optional. If you leave the company number or tax number empty, that line is left off your invoices.

My invoice shows the wrong tax number
Your invoices use the first tax number field in Settings > Main Settings, Kennel Details, not the field with your country code beside it. Enter the number in the first field and click Save.
The field says VAT but I need it to say GST or HST
The name comes from What your tax is called in Settings > Customize Text. Change it there, save, and the tax number field and your invoices use the new name.
