Since you probably use KennelBooker on your phone quite often, you might like quicker access to it, without logging in every time. There are two ways to get an icon on your iPhone or Android home screen that opens KennelBooker like an app: install the KennelBooker Business App, or save the KennelBooker website to your home screen. Both are for you and your staff. They open the same KennelBooker account you use on your computer, with the same bookings, calendar and settings.
The KennelBooker Business App for staff
The KennelBooker Business App is our app for kennel and pet business owners and their staff, on iPhone and Android.
Android: KennelBooker Business App on Google Play.
Install the app, open it, and sign in with the same email address and password you use for KennelBooker on your computer. Each member of staff signs in with their own staff login, so they see only what their staff permissions allow. You can't create a new KennelBooker account from inside the iPhone app; sign up on the website first.
The Business App isn't the app for your customers. Pet parents use the separate KennelBooker Pet Parent app to book and pay with you; see Mobile App.
Save KennelBooker to your iPhone home screen
If you'd rather not install an app, you can add KennelBooker to your home screen from Safari.
Open KennelBooker in Safari and log in, so that you're on the dashboard.
Tap the Share button (the square with an arrow pointing up).
Scroll down and tap Add to Home Screen. You can change the name of the icon here.
Tap Add.
Go back to your home screen and you'll see the new KennelBooker icon. Tap it to go straight back to KennelBooker.
Save KennelBooker to your Android home screen
Open KennelBooker in Chrome and log in, so that you're on the dashboard.
Tap the three-dot menu in the top right corner of the screen.
Tap Add to Home screen (on some phones it's called Install app, or it's under Add to Home screen as Create shortcut).
Enter a name for the icon if you want, and tap Add. Chrome adds it to your home screen.
Staying logged in to KennelBooker on your phone
When you tap the icon, you're taken straight back to KennelBooker, and the system keeps you logged in as long as you don't tap Logout. Sometimes you'll be logged out when we release a big update, and you just log in again.
KennelBooker on your phone: frequently asked questions
Is there a KennelBooker app for staff?
Yes. The KennelBooker Business App is on the App Store for iPhone and on Google Play for Android. Sign in with your normal KennelBooker email address and password.
Is the Business App the same as the app my customers use?
No. The KennelBooker Business App is for you and your staff. Your customers (pet parents) use the separate KennelBooker Pet Parent app to book and pay with your business.
Do I need a different login for the KennelBooker Business App?
No. The KennelBooker Business App uses your normal KennelBooker login details, the same email address and password you use on your computer. Staff use their own staff logins.
Can my staff use KennelBooker on their own phones?
Yes. Each member of staff can install the KennelBooker Business App, or save KennelBooker to their home screen, and log in with their own staff login. What they can see and do depends on the permissions you give them in Settings > Staff Accounts.
Does KennelBooker work on a tablet?
Yes. KennelBooker works in the browser on an iPad or Android tablet, and you can save it to a tablet home screen the same way as on a phone.
Can I create my KennelBooker account in the app?
Not in the iPhone app. Sign up for KennelBooker on the website first, then sign in to the KennelBooker Business App with the same details.
Why does KennelBooker sometimes log me out on my phone?
KennelBooker keeps you logged in on your phone until you tap Logout. You may also be logged out when we release a big update. Just log in again.
KennelBooker on your phone: common problems
I can't find Add to Home Screen on my iPhone
Add to Home Screen is only in Safari's Share menu. Open KennelBooker in Safari (not another browser), tap Share and scroll down the list of options to find Add to Home Screen.
The home screen icon asks me to log in every time
Log in once after tapping the icon and don't tap Logout. If you saved the icon while you were on the login page, delete it, log in in Safari or Chrome first, then save it again from the dashboard.
I can't log in to the KennelBooker Business App
Use the same email address and password you use for KennelBooker on your computer. If you've forgotten your password, click Password reset on the KennelBooker login page. If you're a member of staff, check with the account owner that your staff login is active.
I installed the wrong KennelBooker app
There are two KennelBooker apps. Staff need the KennelBooker Business App, using the App Store or Google Play links above. The KennelBooker Pet Parent app is for your customers.
